The Horror Of Bad Government

Berlin, Germany—My copper friends all seem to believe in the death penalty. I don’t, and that irks my pals beyond belief. It is not that some people don’t deserve to die because some do. I certainly believe in self-defense and the justifiable use of deadly force.

My beef is giving government the power to kill its own citizens. History shows that sooner or later that power gets abused in a big way. Giving up capital punishment to remove that option from government protects all of us.

If you think criminals are running wild a far more efficient way to deal with this exists. That is to allow Americans their God given rights to self-defense that was supposed to be guaranteed by the second Amendment.

Unchecked government powers lead to the absence of liberty. Incarceration, fines, beatings, and worse are at every turn when government is allowed to grow as ours has over the last seven decades. Americans are feeling the acceleration of government punishments with traffic cameras, parking meters and other forms of government extortion.

Soon failure to buy into Obamacare will result in imprisonment. There is no end to creative new punishments in sight.

The Supreme Court has carved exception after exception into our Bill of Rights. Free speech, gun rights, protections from unreasonable searches and the rights of the accused have been scaled back in a big way.

These are not protection for criminals but for law-abiding Americans living under government regulation.

I lived in Germany 1969-70 as a Army medical corpsman. I felt my freedom was solid and never doubted the future of my country and the preservation of my freedom for a moment.

Ignorance was bliss. Our government is now a out-of-control monster. I fear what the future holds.

I’m spending a few weeks between Switzerland and Germany. I have been invited to assist with a documentary film about Debra Milke who has sat on Arizona’s Death Row for two decades. I know this woman is innocent and have investigated this case for numerous news organizations since the woman was arrested.

Doing work on a death penalty case while visiting historical sites like Berlin’s Fhuerbunker is indeed sobering.

I enjoyed a celebration of freedom in Berlin over the fall of the dreaded wall and Communism.

The wall was designed to prevent those who rejected Communism from leaving. The penalty for escape was death. There were lesser penalties too.

Couples who either spoke against their government or conspired to escape would be visited by officials who would simply remove their children to secret orphanages. Mothers and fathers would never see their children again. This ghastly form of punishment was also popular with the Nazis.

We must be constantly vigilant of government and must be willing to resort to Second Amendment sanctioned force at the first signs of a criminal government regime or kiss what freedoms we have goodbye. Power corrupts and politicians along with their appointed bureaucrats redundantly prove this true.

The despots will never surrender and always must be removed in a violent way.

In Germany the fall of the wall was not all roses. There was and is a serious problem. Generations of Communism had destroyed many East Germans. They demanded a nanny government with free apartments and food. They were not used to competing for jobs, education and such. Freedom was too much for too many of these lost souls.

Communism survives and thrives well when the majority of a population is ignorant, needy and unmotivated. With our pretend immigration laws and the destruction of work ethics along with lacking family values our African-American population has created the perfect storm for Communism in America.

There is little difference between National Socialists and Communists. They have led the way in death penalty efficiency.

Communism has come to our own government. We can prevent the destruction of the American way of life with ballots or bullets. We must stop the cancer of Communism no matter what it takes or suffer later. Freedom is never free and is historically won or preserved with blood of despots and patriots.

Victims rarley know their to be soon killed said...

Paul I've had to take life before. One man I killed, had killed before and agian.

One of his victims that he stabbed in the back as victim was withdrawing money from an ATM, was an off duty LAPD Sgt.

While I was highly trained and equipped for that gun battle. The average citizen is not.

I too and am advocate for self defense. However most dead victims were caught by surprise, and never had a chance to try to defend themselves.

Just like the Muslim DC sniper that was just put to sleep last week. His victims didn't even know that bullet was coming. 2.500 feet per second is pretty fast.

I can understand your being against the death penalty, although I am not. There are a number of innocent people who have been wrongly convicted, thus the dealth penalty was unjustly applied. If, as citizens, we had the means instead of the governmnt impeding on our right to self-defense I would probably agree with your position. Plus, it seems as of recently more criminals have been escaping from prison. I just believe some crimes are worthy of the death penalty. I do think that the system needs to be changed.
I agree with you about communism and National Socialists. The African-American community and its lack of morality and lack of family values has paved the way for communism in the United States. And, I believe that the Democrats have taken advantage of this purposefully in order to promote their communist agenda. We need to reverse course and promote limited government principles. We need to promote family values instead of this political correctness crap.

If anyone is deserving of a death sentence it's the " MONSTER " that raped and brutally murdered that Arkansas news lady . Now he deserves to die .

Highly trained? I don’t know what that means. Millions of citizens are military veterans and many of them are proven combat heroes.

Millions more have police experience. Then there are yet millions more that have gotten hundreds of hours of training on their own.

Then many more millions have been trained by those with special training in the less structured environment of family or other relationship.

I don’t know what the total number of concealed weapon permit holders might be nationwide, but they for the most part have met training requirements.

Let us not forget the minority of security guards and private detectives that are still armed in America since they have training too.

How about the past and present reserve police officers?
The list goes on as we spread the training to all law-abiding, sane and sober folks in our world.

I think Roman Polanski's life gives us an example of the Horror of Bad Governments taking away liberty on both sides of the Atlantic and - how freedom can be gained and then lost over time.

Roman Polanski's through necessity ran away from the horror of a bad government very early on in life because If he didn't run he would have perished.

He faced another another bad government again decades later in the Santa Monica Courthouse California.

The County of Los Angeles Judge Rittenband was RAILROADING Polanski into involuntary deportation through the threat of indeterminate prison time - even though he had served the original plea bargain term.

So in 1978 Roman Polanski believed he had no alternative but to escape again...

RUNNING AWAY FROM DANGER & INJUSTICE AND THE HORROR OF BAD GOVERNMENT - STARTED EARLY ON IN ROMAN POLANSKI'S LIFE

AND THROUGH NECESSITY, AND ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ATLANTIC, IT BECAME HIS MOTIF - HIS ROSEBUD"
